Weiz and Eastern Styria are definitely worth the trip! Weiz, the capital of the region offers a great variety of little stores and boutiques. You will definitely be able to find some small souvenirs for your loved ones at home. Furthermore, you will find yourself surrounded by breathtaking nature.

If you are interested in culture, don’t miss the well-known and beautiful "Weizbergkirche", a baroque church up on a hill overlooking the city. You can also visit the "Taborkirche", an old, charming Roman church in the heart of the city. If you are more interested in contemporary art, though, visiting the "Kunsthaus", an art center featuring many exhibitions, is a must.

All nature-lovers will instantly fall for the beauty and purity of the region’s nature. There are countless paths to go hiking and cycling in the surroundings of Weiz. Do you like to go for a run in the morning? - No problem! You will find various running paths of different lengths around Weiz.

In case you arrive by car, it will only take you about 30 minutes to get to the hills of the Alps, where you can find the freshest air and a beautiful landscape that will remind you of the ‘Sound of Music’. Also about a 30 minute drive from Weiz is Graz, the capital of Styria and the 2nd biggest city in Austria with approximately 300,000 inhabitants. There you can get a feel for a ‘big city’ (by Austrian standards!) and afterwards come back to Weiz and relax.
